The new Firmship 55 is a fast-sailing classic work ship archetype with a modern look. Centuries-old nautical traditions have been renewed by Studio Job with artistic design - without sacrificing functional comfort.

Firmship is more than a sturdy boat, it is a floating work of art.

SEA LEVEL AMSTERDAM

Sea Level was founded in 1998 by naval architects Bastiën Ligthart and Jeroen van der Knaap. Based in Amsterdam and serving a global clientele, Sea Level employs a winning team of 15 naval architects.

When Sea Level was challenged by entrepreneur Casper Vissers to create the naval architectural design for Firmship in a close collaboration with artist Job Smeets for the aesthetic design, Bastiën and Jeroen didn't have to think long. The collaboration with Firmship is giving them the opportunity to work out of the normal naval box.

Together with Casper, Sea Level encouraged Job to create and complete the most beautiful and innovative ideas, after which the technical performers of Sea Level took care of the feasibility and performance of the ship.

WARM LUXURY

Despite its sturdy functionality and artful aesthetics, no concessions have been made in terms of comfort. Inside the hut you experience a timeless nautical atmosphere. It is the warm teak and the silent light grey base of all materials which makes this hut unique, peaceful and timeless.

The design and the detailing of our ships is radically timeless. The only way forward for a sustainable world. Every detail in our ships and our official collaborations have been designed and developed within this field of responsibility.

The unique Studio Job upholstery of the bench has prints of anchors, Moby Dick, ship rats or a sextant.

to build a good and rebust ship, you need an experienced shipbuilder. Firmship works closely with a steel and aluminium yacht builder specialist in the Netherlands.
